Abstrakt: | A recent study conducted by Nagoya University Graduate School of Medicine in Japan has shed light on the occurrence of cerebral venous sinus thrombosis (CVST) in patients undergoing maintenance temozolomide (TMZ) chemotherapy for glioblastoma (GBM). The researchers found that diffusion-weighted magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) can be a useful tool in detecting CVST early on in patients with malignant gliomas. The study highlights the importance of performing routine DWI during follow-up to aid in the early diagnosis of CVST in these patients. [Extracted from the article] |
