A recent study conducted by researchers at the University of Toronto aimed to increase rates of screening and treatment for iron deficiency anemia (IDA) among patients with heart failure with reduced ejection fraction (HFrEF). The study found that the introduction of curated materials to aid clinicians was associated with increased rates of screening and treatment for IDA among ambulatory HFrEF patients. However, further research is needed to identify barriers and implement strategies to further increase screening and treatment rates for IDA in this patient population. [Extracted from the article] |
