A recent meta-analysis and systematic review conducted at Box Hill Hospital in Victoria, Australia, examined the clinical outcomes of surgical management for post-traumatic elbow contractures in pediatric patients. The study found that contracture releases of the elbow led to improvements in flexion-extension and pronosupination motion. Older children, those with radial head fractures, and those receiving open contracture releases may experience greater improvements.
