Abstrakt: A recent study conducted by researchers at Charles University of Prague in the Czech Republic examined the clinicopathological and molecular characteristics of 22 cases of infantile fibrosarcoma (IFS) and other spindle cell neoplasms with kinase gene alterations. The study found that alterations in kinase genes such as NTRK1/2/3, RET, and BRAF are responsible for these tumors. The researchers also identified novel gene fusions and mutations in these tumors, as well as rare additional genetic aberrations. Methylation analysis revealed that the tumors clustered with the IFS methylation class. The study highlights the complexity and diversity of mesenchymal tumors and provides valuable insights for further research and treatment strategies. [Extracted from the article]
