Abstrakt: Youth citizenship and injustices within civic education throughout the United States of America are timely topics during a time when there is a heightened interest in globalisation and Global Citizenship. Throughout the history of the U.S., there have been various paradigm shifts and campaigns anchored to the ideal of creating informed and active citizens who would be loyal to the republic. While the collective interest has not waivered, the methods of reaching the pinnacle of united states for the people, by the people, have been broad and varied. Youth activists, experts, and politicians have attempted to alter civics measures through a combination of academic, grassroots, and legal systems changes on local and federal levels. Thus far, results have been multifarious, and it is clear that unity among these groups of catalysts is necessary to alter the foundation and face of civics learning and youth citizenship throughout the United States K-12 public education system.
