Abstrakt: The study object is the Kuzminsk hydraulic unit on the Oka river, located near the settlement Aksenovo, Ryazan oblast'. At the end of the navigation period of 2016, an erosion pit was detected in the downstream of the spillway dam behind the area of the apron rigid attachment. In subsequent years of operation, the pit considerably increased in terms of planned outlines and depth. This study aims to predict the further transformation of the erosion pit and identify the most hazardous modes of operation of the Kuzminsk spillway dam. The research was performed via methods of numerical hydrodynamic modeling using the Russian software package STREAM 2D CUDA [1], which implements an algorithm paralleled on an NVIDIA graphic processor with CUDAtechnology [2, 3]. The program is used to calculate flows through hydraulic structures (in particular, spillways) with sharp differences in bottom elevations, as well as bottom deformations, taking the soil heterogeneity into consideration [4, 5].
