The article describes the case of a 23-year old collegiate football player diagnosed with adductor longus tendon avulsion. The patient demonstrated painful and limited active and passive hip adduction and hip adduction, as well as seated hip adduction and supine hip adduction, and tender to palpation at the adductor longus origin site. He underwent surgical reattachment of the tendon to the pubis followed by 10 weeks of rehabilitation with a certified athletic trainer. |
