A study conducted by researchers at Zhejiang Chinese Medicine University in Hangzhou, China, explored the expression of serum miR-146a and COX-2 in children with drug-resistant epilepsy and their correlation with prognosis. The study found that the levels of miR-146a and COX-2 were higher in the drug-resistant group compared to the non-drug resistant group. The researchers concluded that the expression of these biomarkers may be used for early prediction and risk assessment of prognostic recurrence in drug-resistant epilepsy. This study provides valuable insights into the understanding and management of epilepsy. [Extracted from the article] |
