Abstrakt: A recent study conducted by researchers at the University of Montreal examined the association between human papillomavirus 16 (HPV16) viral load during pregnancy and preterm birth. The study used data from participants in the HERITAGE study and measured HPV16 viral load using the Linear Array assay and real-time polymerase chain reaction. The findings revealed a strong association between a high HPV16 viral load during pregnancy and preterm birth, suggesting a biological gradient that supports a causal association. This research provides valuable insights into the potential risks associated with HPV16 infection during pregnancy. [Extracted from the article]
