A study conducted by researchers at AL Azhar University in Cairo, Egypt, examined the efficacy of different remineralizing agents on primary teeth exposed to therapeutic gamma radiation. The study found that therapeutic radiation caused a decrease in enamel mineral content, but the application of remineralizing agents had a positive effect on the damage caused. The researchers tested three different types of remineralizing agents and found that bioactive glass had the greatest increase in fluoride content, followed by fluoride varnish and diode laser.
