Abstrakt: Solid electrolytes are materials that are expected to replace the function of liquid electrolytes in the future battery application. One candidate for the solid electrolyte is lithium phosphate-based material, which unfortunately still has drawbacks, namely low conductivity. In this study, a characterization of the electrochemical properties was carried out to a novel Lithium Phosphate-Lithium Iodide composite with change in the composition of Lithium Iodide, which was synthesized by the melt quenching method. At the low-frequency region, these composites showed a sharp decrease in the dielectric properties due to the high contribution of charge polarization at the interfaces, followed by a flat area approaching zero due to the rapid periodic electric field reversal in the dielectric constant. The conductivity value of this material is obtained by fit the measurement results to the Jonscher's formula. The results show an increase in dc conductivity along with changes in the amount of lithium iodide addition to a certain level on the order of 10−6 S/cm, the same order of stoichiometric Lithium Diphosphate (Li4P2O7), but three orders higher than that of Lithium Phosphate (Li3PO4).
