Abstrakt: In this work, we investigated the temperature dependence static contact angle of a citric acid droplet on polyaniline (PANI), PANI/carbon nanotubes, and PANI/carbon sphere-nanotube composite film in the temperature range between 25-80°C. Polyaniline (PANI), PANI/carbon nanotubes, and PANI/carbon sphere-nanotube composite film were prepared by spin coating onto the quartz glass slide. The film morphology and structure were characterized by Scanning electron microscopy, atomic force microscope, and Fourier transforms infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR). A sessile drop method was applied to determine preferential wetting of citric acid on PANI, PANI/carbon nanotubes, and PANI/carbon sphere-nanotube composite films. A higher degree of static contact angle was observed for PANI/carbon nanotubes and PANI/carbon sphere-nanotube composite after adding carbon nanotube and carbon sphere to the PANI structure. In addition, different degree of temperature dependence on static contact angle was observed for PANI, PANI/carbon nanotubes, and PANI/carbon sphere-nanotube composite. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
