Abstrakt: This article discusses a study conducted in South Korea that examined the risk of anaphylaxis, a severe allergic reaction, following COVID-19 vaccination. The study found that there was a temporary increase in the risk of anaphylaxis shortly after vaccination, with a higher risk observed in certain groups such as those who received non-mRNA vaccines and females. The study has some limitations, including the lack of laboratory data and the exclusion of outpatient settings in defining anaphylaxis cases. The article also includes two tables that provide information on comorbidities among patients and the risk of anaphylaxis after vaccination. The study emphasizes the importance of monitoring and addressing the risk of anaphylaxis, especially for individuals at higher risk. Further research is needed to better understand these findings. The study was supported by the Korea Disease Control and Prevention Agency and the authors have no conflicts of interest. [Extracted from the article]
