This article presents a case study of dental procedures performed on two California sea lions. The study provides detailed clinical, radiographic, and histological findings of the teeth in these sea lions, highlighting the presence of endodontic disease and pulp exposure. The authors suggest considering alternatives to dental extractions, such as endodontic treatment, and emphasize the importance of dental radiographs in sea lion examinations. They also mention alternative treatments to extraction, such as vital pulpectomy, particularly for immature permanent canine teeth with chronic hyperplastic pulpitis. [Extracted from the article] |
