This document is an editorial from the journal Pediatric Radiology, written by editors who come from or received medical training in Nigeria, Argentina, and India. The editors discuss the disparities in research publications from low- and lower middle-income countries (LIC and LMIC) and advocate for greater collaboration to address the barriers to equity in funding, conducting, and publishing research. They outline five key areas for intervention, including supporting research, peer reviewers, and publications from LIC/LMIC authors, diversifying the editorial board, and supporting access to publications and research. The editors emphasize the importance of education and announce plans for webinars and seminars to support researchers in LIC/LMIC. They express gratitude to contributing authors and hope that pediatric radiologists worldwide will benefit from the articles in the journal. [Extracted from the article] |
