This article discusses the synthesis and potential therapeutic applications of chirally enriched 1H-imidazo[1,2-b]pyrazole and 4H-imidazo[1,2-b][1,2,4]triazole-based bioactive glycohybrids. These compounds have shown significant biological and pharmacological properties, including anticancer, antiviral, and antibacterial activities. The researchers successfully synthesized various glycohybrids using different synthetic routes and optimized reaction conditions. The synthesized compounds were tested for their anticancer activity, with some showing moderate growth inhibition in breast cancer cells. In silico docking studies also suggested their potential as new chemical entities in drug discovery. The synthesis and characterization of the compounds were achieved using robust methods, and the compounds were characterized using various spectroscopic techniques. The article provides detailed information on the synthetic strategies and reaction conditions used in the synthesis of these compounds. The authors acknowledge the support of Banaras Hindu University and Jawaharlal Nehru University in conducting this research. [Extracted from the article] |
