The article discusses the creation of "Ancient Desires," a new work by artist Charwei Tsai during her residency at Wysing Arts Centre. The work consists of over 200 offering vessels inspired by the residency and made in Wysing's ceramics studio. It is part of the larger exhibition project "Making New Worlds: Li Yuan-chia & Friends," which explores the legacies of artist Li Yuan-chia and his LYC Museum & Art Gallery. The article includes a conversation between Tsai, Rosie Cooper (director of Wysing), and Sarah Victoria Turner (curator) about the genesis of the project and its connections to Tsai's practice and Li's artistic vision.
