"The Rhyton Vessel of Persian and Greek Origins in the Light of Petosiris Tomb in Tuna El-Gebel (Comparative and Analytical Study)" is a scholarly article that examines the origins and characteristics of the Rhyton vessel, a ceremonial drinking vessel. The study suggests that the Rhyton vessel originated in Persia and later spread to Greece. The article describes the different forms of the Rhyton vessel and its use in funeral and religious rituals. The study analyzes depictions of the Rhyton vessel in the tomb of Petosiris in Tuna El-Gebel, Egypt, and discusses the commercial relationship between Persia and Greece in ancient times. The presence of Rhyton vessels in the tomb confirms the production of Persian vessels in Egypt during the Achaemenid period. A bibliography is also provided, listing various sources related to the topic for further research. [Extracted from the article] |
