An interview with American musician Rhiannon Giddens is presented. Topics discussed include the Pulitzer Prize for Music received by the opera "Omar" which was co-written by Giddens, the role of Giddens' father on her exposure to opera and folk music, and her transition from opera to folk music. Also discussed are Giddens' release of the album "You're the One" and her training at the Oberlin Conservatory of Music. |
