With the increasing use of speech and audio in modern communication, sentiment analysis using these modalities has become an important area of research. This article offers a thorough discussion of the most recent developments in speech emotion recognition. It covers a wide range of topics, including emotional speech corpora, various speech features, and models for emotion recognition from speech. In addition, a large number of representative voice datasets have been evaluated in terms of the languages used, the number of speakers included, the range of emotions covered, and the aim of the collection. This study presents a comprehensive overview of sentiment analysis from three distinct vantage points, namely databases, feature extraction techniques, and methods of detection. This is accomplished by conducting an in-depth analysis of previously published works. This review aims to provide researchers with a comprehensive understanding of the current state of sentiment analysis in voice, speech, and audio by synthesizing the research that has been done on this topic and providing a summary of that research.
