Abstrakt: Pavement maintenance is a triger to maintain road stability. With a programmed management approach that is carried out regularly, it is expected to be able to maintain the service life of the road. The preparation of the treatment program is important to give consideration in recommending forms of road maintenance. The use of integrated tools is very useful in helping to provide an overview of forecasting conditions. The use of tools with a database approach in Indonesia has long been used, for example the Integrated Road Management System (IRMS) program. The available database is a combination of analysis to consider the type of maintenance, the availability of input data such as road surface roughness (IRI), pavement deflection values (FWD), traffic data (RTC) and road completeness data (RNI) as initial benchmarks in the analysis. However, some weaknesses are still often found between the suitability of the program recommendations to the real conditions. Therefore, the use of a manual approach with a direct survey with the Pavement Condition Index (PCI) survey method becomes necessary to see the current actual conditions. The combination of these two approaches is interesting to use to build recommendations for treatment based on the scale limits established by the road management department in Indonesia. The aim of this study is to see the effectiveness of two approaches in recommending the type of treatment based on IRI scale. The case study is located on the capital road section in Bandar Lampung City, with section code number 1702311 and section 1702312. From the analysis conducted, it was found that the recommendations for treatment are dominated by routine treatment, with an IRI value range of 1 – 6. This is certainly a large scale range. very difficult if on the scale of the type of road preventive maintenance actions. However, for major treatment, a combination of these two methods may be can help provide initial conditions within the significant IRI range [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
