An evaluation of the selection of goods delivery service providers based on customer perceptions in Madiun.

Abstrakt: The increasing need for delivery courier services makes delivery service providers grow. This study was conducted to evaluate and study the challenges for companies in competing with other providers as an alternative choice for consumers/customers in making decisions about the selected service provider and to measure the relationship between customer perception and the ranking/priority of various alternatives in solving a problem using the Importance Performance Analysis (IPA) and Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) methods. In the IPA method, the perception of the highest level of conformity on the criteria for the convenience of the transaction system and the customer was applied wholeheartedly at 100% each; the highest customer choice criterion for the customer criteria was applied wholeheartedly at 10.44%. In the AHP method, the highest criteria perception value on service criteria was 65.88%, and the highest customer choice criterion was 61.67% for service criteria. Meanwhile, the alternative priority of customer choice from IPA and AHP methods was PT Kereta Api Logistik at 30%, PT Herona Express & Karya Eight Express at 25%, and PT Indah Logistik Cargo at 20%. In the decision-making process, customers could differ from one another, and therefore the decision-making process is important, including in the selection of delivery service providers.
