This article discusses the importance of trust in the adoption of artificial intelligence (AI) in supply chains. Trust is crucial because if users do not trust the technology, they will not use it. Trust in AI leads to more effective outcomes, while a lack of trust can lead users to revert to less efficient methods. The article identifies four factors of trust: capability, reliability, transparency, and humanity. Capability refers to the accuracy of the AI model, reliability refers to the consistency of its predictions, transparency involves the explainability of the AI model, and humanity involves creating ethical and fair AI systems. Trust in AI is essential for its successful implementation in supply chains. [Extracted from the article] |
