Abstrakt: | A new study conducted by researchers at the University of Portsmouth in the United Kingdom has examined the strain distribution at the muscle-tendon junction (MTJ) using X-ray computed tomography (XCT) and digital volume correlation (DVC). This research is important for understanding the mechanical behavior of the junction and predicting tear formation and injuries. The study found that high strain is concentrated at the MTJ, which is at risk of damage during activities involving excessive physical activity. The findings provide valuable insights for the treatment and prevention of injuries at the MTJ. [Extracted from the article] |
