Abstrakt: | Researchers from Metropolitan Autonomous University Iztapalapa in Mexico have conducted in vitro and in silico studies on bis-furyl-pyrrolo[3,4-b]pyridin-5-ones and their potential activity against Dengue virus. The compounds 1a and 1b were found to reduce the expression of Renilla luciferase and decrease viral load, indicating potential antiviral activity against Dengue virus serotype 4. In silico simulations also showed that compound 1a was the best ligand. These findings suggest that two of the synthesized compounds have potential antiviral activity against Dengue virus in vitro.
