Abstrakt: A recent study conducted by Mount Sinai Hospital examined the current practices for rehabilitation after meniscus repair among sports medicine practitioners in the American Orthopedic Society for Sports Medicine (AOSSM). The study found that there is no consensus on the postoperative rehabilitation strategy for meniscus repair, with different tear types requiring different rehabilitation protocols. The study also revealed that providers varied in their approach based on hoop integrity, with a loss of hoop stresses triggering a more conservative approach. The majority of providers utilized bracing and in situ adjuncts for biological healing, while a minority used extrinsic biologics. [Extracted from the article]
