Abstrakt: A recent study conducted by researchers at Federal University Jatai in Brazil has reported on a case of a Labrador Retriever that died from a solid clear cell thymoma associated with hydropericardium. Thymomas are rare tumors that primarily affect the anterior mediastinum of dogs. The Labrador Retriever in this case presented with various symptoms, including hematemesis, dyspnea, and anemia, and died shortly after admission to the hospital. The necropsy revealed a distended pericardial sac and a solid neoplastic mass in the mediastinum, confirming the diagnosis of a benign solid clear cell thymoma associated with hydropericardium. The study highlights the challenges in diagnosing thymomas and the potential for these tumors to cause fatal complications. [Extracted from the article]
