A study conducted by researchers at University Teknologi MARA in Selangor, Malaysia, used microcomputed tomography (micro-CT) analysis to investigate the apical morphology of lower premolar teeth in relation to clinical signs. The study found that there were variations in the length and position of the apical foramen (AF) and constriction (AC) in different teeth types. The research concluded that the clinical signs observed in lower premolars mainly affected the position and length of the root AF, which is valuable information for clinical purposes.
