A recent report from the Genesis Institute of Dental Sciences and Research in Punjab, India highlights the significance of the saddle angle in the success of myofunctional therapy. Myofunctional appliances are commonly used to correct jaw discrepancies and promote optimal growth in growing patients. The twin block appliance is considered the most effective for treating skeletal class II malocclusion. Factors such as patient age, growth status, growth pattern, malocclusion type, patient compliance, and saddle angle should be considered when determining the appropriate myofunctional therapy. The research presents three case studies illustrating the importance of the saddle angle in the success of myofunctional therapy. [Extracted from the article] |
