Abstrakt: This article discusses a study on the expression of the BCL-2 gene in neuroblastoma (NB) patients. The study found that BCL-2 was expressed in all tumor samples, with higher expression levels associated with less severe disease and female patients. However, there was no correlation between BCL-2 expression and outcome or survival. The study also examined the correlation between BCL-2 and other genes, such as MYCN, and found no significant associations. The authors suggest that while BCL-2 may have potential for targeted therapy, its use as a diagnostic or prognostic marker in NB is limited and further research is needed.
