The one problem faced in mung bean cultivation is the attack of Maruca testulalis which can reduce productivity. The aim of this research was to assess the resistance of mung bean genotypes against M. testulalis. Three replicates of the experiment were run using a randomized block design in the ILETRI screen house. 27 different genotypes in all were treated. The planting dates were planned to coincide with the genotypes' flowering dates. Each plant received a two-day infestation of a pair of adult M. testulalis on the flowering date. The outcome demonstrated that seed weight and seed damage intensity were strongly impacted by genotype differences. Damage levels for the pod and seed were, respectively, 2.9-38.5% and 0.7-13.9%. The lowest was found on MMC 672-3c-Gt-1/Vima 2-42 and the highest was found on Vima 1. Based on the choice method, there were found five genotypes (MMC672-3c-Gt-1/Sampeong-2, MMC672-3c-Gt-1/Sampeong-4, MMC672-3c-Gt-1/Vima 2-42, MLG 1065/Vima 2-50, and Nuri) categorized as resistant against M. testulalis. This resistance was non-preference for oviposit and feeding. These four genotypes could be used as gen source for resistant to M. testulalis in the next mung bean breeding program as well as considered to be released as resistant varieties.
