This article discusses the details of preoperative evaluation and surgical management for mixed rheumatic tricuspid valve disease (RTVD). RTVD is rare in industrialized countries but remains a leading cause of morbidity and mortality in developing nations. The article presents a case study of a successful surgical management of mixed RTVD associated with mitral stenosis (MS). The patient underwent mitral and tricuspid valve replacement, and her postoperative course was uneventful. The document emphasizes the importance of timely surgery before significant deterioration of ventricular function and highlights the need for uncompromising hemodynamic resolution in the surgical correction of RTVD.
