Abstrakt: This study presents a novel all-optical refractometer that utilizes modified fiber Bragg gratings (FBGs) to get very accurate refractive index readings. The refractometer represents a notable development in optical sensing technology. The main goal is to use the beat frequency effect of FBGs to reflect two different wavelengths simultaneously, making measurements of the refractive index more accurate. This facilitates accurate monitoring of alterations in the refractive index of the surrounding medium. Using meticulous testing, the FBGs were systematically adjusted in order to provide precise dual wavelengths. Modifying FBGs characteristics enable the achievement of separate and exact measurements of refractive index. The study effectively attained a notable level of sensitivity of roughly 0.9 THz/RIU over the refractive index range of 1.3323–1.3342. The degree above sensitivity is a pioneering advancement that dramatically enhances the precision of refractive index assessments. Those above highly sophisticated all-optical refractometer not only expands the limits of accuracy in measuring refractive index but also has significant promise for a wide range of applications in scientific research and diverse industrial sectors.
