Abstrakt: A recent report from the University of Sao Paulo discusses the use of thermosensitive polymeric nanoparticles for the treatment of breast cancer. The researchers aimed to develop a local intraductal treatment for noninvasive, low-grade ductal carcinoma in situ (DCIS). They used a nanoparticle delivery system loaded with cytotoxic piplartine and an MAPKAP Kinase 2 inhibitor (YARA), and attached a collagen-binding peptide to target the tumor environment. The results showed that the nanoparticle delivery system effectively reduced tumor development with low systemic exposure. This research provides valuable insights into potential advancements in breast cancer treatment. [Extracted from the article]
