A study conducted at National Taiwan University Hospital compared the efficacy of low-dose and standard-dose alteplase in endovascular thrombectomy for cerebral hemorrhage. The study found that standard-dose alteplase was associated with a lower rate of successful reperfusion and a higher risk of symptomatic intracerebral hemorrhage. However, it was also associated with better functional outcomes and a lower mortality rate. These findings suggest that standard-dose alteplase may be more beneficial for patients receiving combined thrombolysis and thrombectomy. [Extracted from the article] |
