Abstrakt: The effect of hot extrusion on the mechanical and corrosion properties of Mg–Zn–Ga alloys intended for medicine purposes is studied. The Mg4Zn4Ga alloy is shown to exhibit a favorable level of mechanical properties (σu = 343 MPa, σy = 256 MPa, δ = 14%) and a controlled corrosion rate (0.4 mm/year). Low cytotoxicity of the Mg4Zn4Ga alloy determined according to GOST R ISO 10993.5–99 makes it possible to recommend it for further in vivo clinical tests and producing medicine implants.
