Identifying and mitigating insider threats through a trustworthiness program in nuclear facilities is a great challenge. Therefore, it is important to develop a tool for assessing insider behavior during the life cycle of employees. National Nuclear Energy Agency (BATAN) of Indonesia conducted a trustworthiness program that includes supervisor review, medical appraisal, management decision, and trust official review. All of the current methods need an expert's opinion for analyzing the information and determining the level of threat due to insider. The method is time-consuming and highly subjective. This study presents a developed method based on the psychosocial model of the employee for detecting insider threat behavior. Firstly, selected dimensions and indicators of trustworthy employees were reviewed and scored based on the most priority on contributing to the level degree of trustworthiness. Then, the operational definition of each dimension and indicator should be defined to achieve a common understanding of the path. Finally, respondent data were collected through a set of psychometric scale questionnaires. It is expected that the survey results of the psycho-social model will be able to predict the malicious behavior of the respondents. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR] |
