Abstrakt: The purpose of this study was to examine competency in the utilization of information and communication technologies and teachers' attitude to work in Cross River State. Nigeria. To achieve this purpose, three null hypotheses were formulated to guide the study. A review of literature was carried on the variables of the study. The study used the Ex-post facto research design. The stratified sampling technique and systematic sampling techniques were adopted in selecting the nine hundred and six respondents used for the study. A twenty-eight item four-point scale questionnaire was the instrument used for collection of data. The reliability of the research instrument was established using Cronbach alpha method. In testing the hypotheses formulated to direct the study, one-way analysis of variance statistical tool was used for data analysis. The result from these analyses revealed a significant influence of competency in sourcing and storing information on teachers' attitude to work. Competency in retrieving information did not significantly influence teachers' attitude to work. Based on these findings it was recommended among others that teachers should be encouraged to acquire more skills that would enable them source for relevant information that would aid their teaching tasks and promote their effectiveness on the job.
