Abstrakt: In the present review, we have discussed the fundamental issues of coronary revascularization in stable coronary artery disease and shown the pivotal differences between percutaneous coronary intervention and coronary artery bypass grafting regarding the long-term prognosis and clinical profiles. The analysis of the latest publications has demonstrated the advantages of open heart surgery due to the long-term survival and prevention of adverse events in specific groups of patients.
