It is observed that human-induced environmental problems have increased significantly in recent years. The increase in environmental problems poses great threats to future generations. R&D studies of electric vehicles, which is one of the suggestions to reduce the severity of increasing environmental threats, has been a hope to leave a more liveable world to future generations. The fact that electric vehicles, which are intended to be used as an alternative to fossil fuel vehicles, are expected to be used more all over the world in the near future, has led to the need for research to understand the factors affecting the acceptance of electric vehicles by consumers. The aim of the study is to reveal consumers' perceptions of electric vehicles. In the collection of the data of the study, online survey method is used through convenience sampling. According to the data obtained as a result of the study, it is observed that the variables in the UTAUT 2 model and environmental awareness have an important role in consumers' adoption of electric cars. Another important result of the study is that the perception of facilitating conditions negatively affects the attitude and intention to use electric cars. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR] |
