Abstrakt: | A new study conducted in Leipzig, Germany, has developed an artificial intelligence (AI)-based algorithm for the automated measurement of cervical sagittal balance parameters. The algorithm was validated using pre- and postoperative radiographs of 129 patients undergoing anterior cervical surgery. The results showed that the AI algorithm could determine all parameters with excellent agreement compared to human raters. The study concluded that the AI algorithm could reliably measure cervical sagittal balance parameters and may simplify manual measurements and analyze large-scale datasets. Further studies are needed to validate the algorithm on a larger and more diverse patient cohort. [Extracted from the article] |
