Abstrakt: A recent study conducted by researchers from the South Texas Veterans Health Care System examined the efficacy of a stand-alone psychoeducation intervention for post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) in veterans. The intervention, called PTSD 102, involved eight weekly sessions and allowed participants to bring an emotional support person. The study found that there was a significant improvement in PTSD symptoms and depressive symptoms among the veteran participants after the intervention. The researchers concluded that the PTSD 102 program was effective in improving PTSD symptom status in veterans with PTSD and relationship concerns. [Extracted from the article]
