A recent report from Hong Kong Polytechnic University discusses research on knee osteoarthritis. The study aimed to adapt and validate the Knee Osteoarthritis Fears and Beliefs Questionnaire (KOFBeQ) for Chinese patients in order to understand fear-avoidance behaviors. The researchers collected data from 241 subjects across various healthcare settings in Hong Kong and found that the adapted Chinese version of the KOFBeQ demonstrated strong internal consistency, validity, and reliability. This questionnaire can be a valuable tool for clinicians and patients in making informed decisions and improving rehabilitation strategies for Chinese patients with knee osteoarthritis.
