Abstrakt: A research study conducted by the University Sains Malaysia explores the use of augmented reality (AR) in dentistry. AR technology overlays digital information onto the physical environment, allowing for better visualization of dental anatomy and treatment planning. The study found that AR has the potential to reduce errors, improve patient outcomes, and enhance dental education through immersive experiences. Specifically, the use of three-dimensional AR was found to outperform two-dimensional image navigation techniques, resulting in fewer implant location errors. Overall, the findings support the role of AR in enhancing accuracy and efficiency in dental procedures while maintaining patient confidentiality. [Extracted from the article]
