A recent report from Umm Al-Qura University discusses the issue of weight loss among patients with head and neck cancer (HNC) undergoing treatment. The study aimed to identify factors that contribute to critical weight loss (CWL) in these patients. The researchers conducted a retrospective analysis of 175 patients and found that pretreatment BMI, oral cavity cancer, and male sex were significantly predictive of CWL.
