This article discusses a study that evaluated the antifungal activity of nano-curcumin against Candida species, which cause otomycosis, a fungal infection of the ear. The study found that nano-curcumin showed some antifungal activity against Candida, but it was less effective than commonly used antifungal drugs. However, due to its safety profile, nano-curcumin could be considered as a potential treatment option for otomycosis with further research. The study was conducted in Iran and approved by the Research Ethics Committee of Babol University of Medical Sciences. [Extracted from the article] |
