The article surveys vaccine laws, societal trends and public health ethics in the U.S. during the COVID-19 pandemic. Topics discussed include challenges to federal vaccine mandates, vaccine mandates as an exercise of a state's police power, legal claims involving COVID-19 state vaccine mandates, anti-vaccine movement and disinformation, vaccine hesitancy, vaccine safety concerns as evidence of government distrust, and legal claims against vaccination that are not based on autonomy and religion. |
