Abstrakt: When an internal carotid artery (ICA) blowout is highly anticipated, such as in cases involving infiltrative lesions encircling the ICA, preoperative control of the ICA can be attempted if the patient possesses sufficient collateral circulation. Consequently, radical resection can be pursued. Here, we present our method for ligating the paraclival ICA in an extradural fashion through an endoscopic endonasal approach. Unlike coil embolization, direct ligation minimizes backflow and avoids artifacts in postoperative imaging studies.By Sung-Woo Cho; Seung Koo Yang and Tae-Bin WonReported by Author; Author; Author [Extracted from the article]
