Abstrakt: This article discusses the use of a four-handed technique in open skull base surgery. The authors conducted a systematic review of the literature and found that while there is a lack of comprehensive written guides on this technique, it has been practiced for many years and has several advantages, including decreased surgeon fatigue, real-time interdisciplinary conferences, and lower operating times and blood loss. The authors also provide a technical and nontechnical guide for four-handed open skull base surgery based on their own experience. Overall, the technique appears to be safe, useful, and potentially superior to single surgeon approaches for complex lesions. [Extracted from the article]
