This article, titled "Navigation-Linked Heads-up Display in Complex Skull Base Surgery: Resident Learner Perspective," explores the use of heads-up display (HUD) technology in guiding resident learners during complex skull base surgeries. The study retrospectively reviewed 39 cases and found that the HUD was accurate and useful in guiding head positioning, designing incisions, maintaining orientation, and highlighting critical structures. The HUD was particularly helpful in posterior fossa lesions and deep tumor dissection. The study suggests that the HUD has a positive impact on residents' learning experiences and recommends further research to maximize its potential benefits. [Extracted from the article] |
